We are a small but
friendly club of around 37 members with a wide range
of age and experience covering many interests.
Like other Rotarians the
world over we get involved in a variety of
activities and projects aimed at helping others and
raising money for organisations that we know will
benefit by it.
We are actively seeking
new members who may be able to contribute some of
their time to enjoy the social aspects of membership
whilst also involving themselves in some of the
various events and schemes of the group.
The Club
meets every Wednesday at 12:30 pm for 1:00 at The
Watford Town and Country Club, Rosslyn Road, Watford,
Herts.
We regularly invite
guest speakers to give us a short talk (about 5 - 10
minutes) on a wide range of subjects.
We are active in the
community, during the month up to Christmas we tour
the streets of North Watford with our float complete
with Santa Claus collecting for local charities, we
also display the float at Tesco, Sainsbury and Asda.
Once a year we
participate in the Rotary Kids Out programme taking
children to Whipsnade Animal Park for the day.
If you
are a visiting Rotarian or a prospective member we
promise you a warm welcome at our meetings.
If you would like to
attend as a visitor please phone Michael Hammond on
01923 243 779 before 10.30am on the day of the
meeting, and we will look forward to welcoming you
to our club.
